On the constitutional conformity of the so-called freezing of assets during the application of international sanctions

This article addresses the emerging issue of restrictions on property rights under national and international sanctions regimes in the Czech Republic. The authors compare the new national legal regulations with the existing practice in the Czech and EU legal environment and, based on the case law of the Czech Constitutional Court, the Court of Justice of the European Union, and the European Court of Human Rights, draw conclusions about the constitutional conformity of the regulations in question.
