Legal Aspects of Shooting at an Escaping Motor Vehicle Under the Police Force act

The concept of legal conditions for the use of a weapon in the motor vehicle pursuits is relatively complicated in the Police Force Act, which may negatively affect the decision of a police officer to use a weapon (especially if he/she has only a few seconds to make a decision). In practice, there are different interpretations of the provisions of the Act and their application is not usually uniform. These problems are analyzed in detail in the article with reference to the results of the research and some recommendations for improving the current situation are provided in the conclusion.
