doc. JUDr. Miriam Odlerová, PhD., Academy of the Police Force in Bratislava, Administrative Law Department

In practice, there are different interpretations of the provisions of the Act and their application is not usually uniform. These problems are analyzed in detail in the article with reference to the results of the research and some recommendations for improving the current situation are provided in the conclusion.

Key words: shooting at a motor vehicle, coercive means, legal conditions for the use of a weapon, dangerous perpetrator, reckless driving.
