Support and Assistance to the Victims of Crime: Trauma-Sensitive Yoga

The article presents the concept trauma-sensitive yoga as a non-verbal and somatic method of therapeutic intervention regarding people affected by psychological trauma or victims of crime in particular, based on the premise that the trauma does not affect people just in a psychological, but also in the physical way, so the somatic/body-based therapy is needed. The goal of the intervention is to integrate a traumatic experience involving empowerment and successful resocialization of the victim.
