The Dynamics of Personality Change in Young First-time Offenders with Drug Addiction from the Perspective of Forensic Psychology
PhDr. Miroslav Tamchyna, Ph.D., University of Economics and Management Prague

We carried out a six-year study of two groups of young adults, first-time offenders with drug addiction. The results show a clear trend of growing criminal drug addiction, a dangerous and socially undesirable phenomenon. This phenomenon is an unwanted by-product of today’s society and our time. It stems from the expansion of the drug scene towards juvenile population and even the pre-adolescent population of elementary school pupils who become new drug users. It is a highly dangerous, socially undesirable phenomenon and a new trend of the contemporary drug scene.

Keywords: personality deprivation, drug addiction, crime.
