TYPOLOGY OF THREATENING AND EXTORTIONATE LETTERS

In the article there is presented a concrete form of the application of psycholinguistics of threatening and extortionate letters. The author categorizes and systematizes these letters, and subsequently focuses on an analysis of attributes of speech behavior of particular types of writers. On the basis of this analysis, author subsequently comes to a conclusion that according to specific attributes included in particular letters, is possible to estimate some characteristics of the writer and thus expertly and also with some probability ratio determine a degree of risk of fulfilling the threat, which the letter contains.
