WEAR AND TEAR OF SHOE SOLE IN RELATION TO TIME

The study focuses on wear and tear of a shoe sole in relation to time. The authors carried out experiments in three types of shoes. The wear and tear was assessed in relation to the time of usage, actual time of wearing. Wear and tear of a shoe causes degradation to its sole, which leads to formation of specific minutiae. These can be later used in identification of footwear. The time span was set in range of 200 to 300 hours of wearing.
