State service – history and the past

The civil service as a legal concept has been going through constant development. The present state has been the result of historical development with the application on the present conditions of the exercise of the state administration in the Czech Republic. The making of the new legislative framework of the civil service law has come from the historical conditions. The article briefly describes the historical development of legislation of the civil service since 1918.
