The Key Success Factors of the Police Organization

The study focuses on the internal determinants of management, which the police organization may base on its successful functioning and development. A key prerequisite for ensuring the prosperity and successful achievement of the police organizations in meeting challenges is the fact of effectively alignment the components forming part of the Police Force. So it is necessary to pay attention not only to the hard success factors of the police organization but also – and especially – to the soft factors. These factors influence in a large extend the overall performance and the ultimate success or failure of the organization.
One possibility of achieving the police organization’s success is continuous monitoring and regular analysis of its internal environment for example by implementing the research in the police environment.
From this viewpoint study presents and evaluates the research pilot findings of selected success factors within the police organization. This pilot project is part of the scientific-research task No. 185 focusing on The Success Factors of The Police Organization performed by the Department of Informatics and Management at the Academy of the Police Force in Bratislava.
