New Approaches in the Theory of Trace Evidence and Identification in Relation with Verification in Criminal Proceedings

The authors focus their attention to trace evidence and identification in relation with verification in criminal proceedings. Theoretically they approached the problem of a trace as a relation between an object and its environment. They focus their attention on up-to-date theory of memory trace, the research in this field and its forensic application. The entirely new field of trace evidence are digital traces. This field is undergoing a rapid development of scientific knowledge, which is theoretically processed and subsequently applied. Towards the end of the article authors deal with the system of identification in forensic science.
