The Influence of Public Choice Theory on the Performance of Managerial Functions in Public Administration
The paper deals with the differences between the private and public sector management. It compares the requirements imposed on the managers in private and public sectors. The author defines the main tasks of a public sector manager and the managerial functions performance specifics. The pivotal part concerns the influence of public choice theory on the performance of some managerial functions in public administration. This paper was elaborated on the basis of the Project of the Research Task No. 4/3 that is part of the Integrated Research Task No. 4 for the period of 2010-2015 implemented at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague.
