The Methodology of a Statistical Project Aimed at the Risk Analysis of Villages and Towns
NOVÁK, Ladislav

The risk analysis is an important element and tool of crisis management. There are various statistical methods used in the risk assessment. In applying statistical methods, authors quite often proceed rather intuitively than methodologically. Quantitative methods of risk analysis are based on a great amount of data which can be obtained from historical emergency events, crisis situations or from the expert assessment by representative groups of professionals. If we have enough data, we can use standard methods for their evaluation. The paper presents a logical procedure which is required to apply for the processing and solution of statistical tasks aimed at the risk analysis.
