Explicitness of Police Terminology in Translations of Current Works of Fiction

The author points out difficulties of police terminology translation. She presents several examples of incorrect translations sample featured in current belles letters that prove consequences for the whole context or plot of given novel. She stresses the fact the quality of translation depends on language and translation competences of the particular translator the supposed part of which a good command of the needed terminology is.
