The Intelligence Service, its Powers and Authority

Providing we want to study and understand the role of the intelligence services it is necessary to define their powers and range of authority. General requirements for the position of the intelligence services result from the matter of their activity, namely security of the information connected with the state security and provision of the information support of the legitimate recipients when deciding about the specific functions of the state. The article determines the specific features of the intelligence services from the institutional point of view and the areas included into the sphere of competence of the intelligence service and the powers needed for the fulfilment of the tasks.
