Measurement of the Acoustic Power of the Warning Devices and their Comparison with the Characteristics Specified by the Producers

The article is devoted to the problems of measurement of the acoustic power of the warning devices – sirens. Based on practical measurements by the sound-level meter it is possible to compare the acoustic characteristics of the devices with the technical parameters specified by the producers in the technical documentation. The real power of the mentioned devices is not described in the special literature, whereas there are cases, when the sound of the warning device is ignored by the surroundings.
