Crime Rate of Foreign Nationals and Immigration Policy
Mgr. Josef Koudelka, FSS MU Brno, Department of Political Science

The main aim of this article is to examine the relationship between immigration and crime in the Czech Republic. To find out if the rate of crime of aliens is higher than it is usual in the Czech Republic, I compare the share of the immigrants with the amount of convicted foreigners. And even if the result of the comparison shows that there are more convicted aliens than corresponds to the share of immigrants, there are several reasons why I think that their crime is not sharply different from that of the Czechs.
Key words: Crime; emigrational policy; security provision; Czech Republic.
