Acceptance of the Integrity Test
pplk. JUDr. Josef Hrudka, Faculty PA Security Legislation of the Czech Republic in Prague, Department of Police Activities

The article presents some empiric findings of the partial scientific research of the Police academy of the Czech Republic in Prague “The integrity test – explication, application, effectiveness”. The first part of the article deals with the extent of familiarity of the tested people with the integrity testing. The aim of the second part is to find what attitude the policemen take to the control tool “sui generis”. As resulted from questionnaires answered by 1 200 police officers, the policemen do not categorically take a positive or negative stand to integrity testing in most cases, but as a matter of fact there is some mixture of these attitudes the most of which are positive ones. In case of negative attitudes the aspects of distrust are clearly visible. For the purposes of getting better knowledge of respondents’ opinions, attitudes and their causes it will be necessary to carry out some non-standardized interview.
Key words: knowledge, attitude, integrity test, General inspectorate of security forces.
