Emergency Response Coordination Centre as the Successor to the Monitoring and Information Centre

During 2014 a significant change relating to the emergency response was made within the European Union. The existing Monitoring and Information Centre, MIC was replaced by the Emergency Response Coordination Centre, ERCC. The paper describes this process and competencies and the importance of the newly designed body.
