Analysis of Factors Influencing Knowledge of Policemen in Detecting Addictive Substances in the Road Transport

This article focuses on the issues of illegal addictive substances in the road transport. It demonstrates what way the consequences of the drivers increase result in the increasing number of drives driving under the influence of addictive substances simultaneously resulting in the increased number of road accidents caused by these drivers. Based on research results the article is to answer the question whether the police officers have sufficient and appropriate knowledge in the given sphere and what methodology the use in practice. It also outlines addressing these issues in administrative and criminal proceedings according to the current legislation. The acquired results of the research pointed out insufficient and inadequate knowledge of the police officers, lack of methodology in policing and even problems in administrative as well as criminal proceedings caused by complicated and ambiguous legislation.
