Mgr. Lukáš Harazin, Ph.D.; Mgr. Oldřich Krulík, Ph.D., Police Academy of Czech Republic in Prague, Faculty of Security Management, Department of Crisis Management

Fuel shortage (lack of oil and petroleum products) is usually a complicated and “crisis communication demanding” situation for the government or a private mining or distribution company. The authors were not able to find many useful foreign examples, concerning direct oil emergency at the state level, let alone usable in the Czech Republic. More known are the cases of more or less unmanaged crisis communication of private companies.
Keywords: oil shortage, crisis management, crisis communication, recommendation, foreign experience.
