Abstract

Youth crime prevention is a key topic in public safety. The analysis reveals differences in preferences for repressive and resocialisation approaches. Data was collected from a total of 1,873 respondents aged 15+ across the Czech Republic. The sample is representative in terms of age and gender. The most supported preventive measures focus on building relationships, meaningful use of free time, and family discipline. Repressive measures, such as stricter punishments and increased police control, received support primarily from older individuals and women.
