Ing. Erika Urbánková, doc. Ing. Josef Brčák, CSc., Mgr. František Hřebík, Ph.D.
Economically active population of the Czech Republic is usually in periods of economic growth complemented by flexible workers from foreign countries. The state policy and legislative measures may eliminate the number of economically active foreigners in order to protect employment of citizens of the Czech Republic in periods where there is still recessionary economic cycle. Unemployment brings not only economic consequences but also social consequences. The risk of increasing criminal activity increases when there are unemployed citizens of the Czech Republic and especially foreigners who are not financially secure at the time of unemployment.
