Further Advancement in the Lifelong Education of Policemen at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague

The paper describes the methodology of pursuance of lifelong education at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic in Prague, including quantitative and qualitative statistical indicators. From these indicators it can be seen that the lifelong education at the Police Academy has a long-time tradition and offers deepening existing knowledge on one side and acquiring new knowledge on the other side to 1000 – 2000 applicants every year. As of the academic year 2012/2013, there are plans for further intensive unification of educational activities in the area of lifelong education responding to the needs of practice which will result in higher effectiveness of the whole process.
