Radicalization – What Leads Individuals to Extreme Behaviour?

From the psychological point of view means radicalization a mental and social process of fundamental changes in individual´s personality, which finally produces an act of extreme killing. Psychological approach sees parallels between amok (amuck) attacks, suicide bombers and lonely wolf terrorists. Forensic psychology emphasises three important and evidence based aspects: personality, alienation and contagion. The article deals with limits of radicalization related risk assessment.
