Abstract
In recent years, human resources management has gained increasing importance, as employees are the cornerstone of every organisation’s success. The Prison Service of the Czech Republic is no exception, while it performs demanding, legally mandated tasks and plays a crucial role in ensuring public safety. Yet it has long struggled to recruit new staff and retain existing personnel and it currently faces a substantial shortage of both employees and officers.
