Upgrade of Emergency Communications in Conditions of the Czech Republic

Abstract

The article discusses emergency services, which include both the reception of emergency communications and operational management, since the reception of these communications is an integral part of it. The content of the article is focused not only on the territory of the Czech Republic, but also on selected countries, mostly EU member states. Its aim is to describe the current practice and to identify the optimal solution in the future. The main outputs consist in the presentation of the latest trends in the field of emergency communication reception, the project plan for the development of operational management information systems, or the identification of models of emergency services. The article with a professional topic was prepared on the basis of selected methods and techniques of scientific research, hypothesis and stated research objectives of the author’s dissertation, from which its content is drawn. Among the methods used, which can be mentioned in the context of the submitted article, there are, for example, the collection of knowledge from practice, drawn mainly in the form of expert interviews with representatives of the basic components of the integrated rescue system, or the use of analytical-synthetic cognitive methods in the analysis and characterization of the current system.
