Application of Knowledge Management in the Public Sector and Police Forces

Article draws attention to the importance and problems of application of knowledge management in the public sector. It presents a list of knowledge categories relating to police investigation and their link to five key activities of police investigation that helps to understand what kind of support and knowledge is needed in certain moment for successful performance. The importance of sharing knowledge is stressed and at the same time factors of effective knowledge transfer are presented: organizational structure, climate and culture.
