The Motivation of Serial Perpetrators – the Angels of Death

The author is concerned with the motivation of serial perpetrators and the perpetrators for criminal acts as viewed by theory and research. Basic motivations of committing the violent criminal act mostly include material benefit, sexual deviation, revenge for the wrong that the victim has had to live through, the conduct under the pressure of the group, the fear of betrayal, and the motivation given by the character of the perpetrator. It is especially the latter kind of motivation, which occurs most often and is the most important with the serial perpetrators committing violent criminal acts.
