Private Security Services in our Country and Abroad

Private security services play a key role in every state with developed market economy. In every country certain level of attention should be paid to entrepreneurial activities of this kind and there should be a sufficient legislative framework regulating their activities. From the legal perspective the contemporary state of affairs concer-ning the security services is not adequate, does not respect their specific features and is not in accordance with their daily needs. We can take inspiration from the new legal codification of this field in the Slovak Republic. In the article there are mentioned major problems, which should be taken into account while preparing the new legislation. The crucial part of this process is the decision of granting licence and verifying the capability and reliability of an applicant.
