CRIMINALISTICS AND FORENSIC DISCIPLINES –
TOPICAL QUESTIONS

The paper deals with criminalistics and forensic sciences at the current stage of development. The author speaks in brief about topical questions of further development of forensic disciplines and the subject and system of criminalistics. The system of criminalistics is presented in the historic perspective and the author states that the particular parts of the criminalistic science are unevenly developed. He contextualizes natural scientific and technical aspects of criminalistics and points out their relation to the subject of criminalistics. He compares a part of criminalistics with the view of authors from abroad. The development of the criminalistic science is dependent not only on the development of applied, empiric research, but it is necessary to develop theoretically basic criminalistic categories and methodology of criminalistics.
