The\u00a0Prison Service of the Czech Republic is no exception, while it performs demanding, legally mandated tasks and plays a crucial role in ensuring public safety. Yet it has long struggled to recruit new staff and retain existing personnel and it currently faces a\u00a0substantial shortage of both employees and officers.<\/p>\n
