The Role of Expert Opinion in Investigation The article deals with the case of actual bodily harm and an alleged abuse of powers. The case was absolutely clear at the beginning and the accused was convicted. After the appeal a completely new situation was proved and the accused was acquitted. The expert examination in the field of Criminalistics \u2013 Forensic Biomechanics has played a significant role in the case. The examination found out the force of mechanic tension on organism and the probability of injury. The authors wanted to draw attention to the mistakes made by the investigative, prosecuting and adjudicating bodies.
