New Power of the Police \u010cR<\/strong> In the Czech law there is not any criminal offence which would solve the problem of domestic violence. All criminal activities of this type can be subordinated to individual\u00a0\u00a0provisions of the Criminal Code and it concerns the provisions concerning the bodily harm,\u00a0\u00a0racketeering, infringement of personal liberty, maltreatment, oppression. In the law on minor infractions such behaviour is solved as minor infractions of civic living together, as minor infractions against public order, etc.

\nNew power of the Police of \u010cR brings the\u00a0\u00a0concept of \u201corder to leave the shared home\u201d for the violent person. This is\u00a0\u00a0neither extending nor\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0adding some special criminal\u00a0\u00a0act. It is not a sanction, but preliminary measure aimed at isolation of\u00a0\u00a0the violent person from the threatened persons in cases which are judged as domestic violence.
