New act on Medical Services The article outlines brief information on a newly passed act on medical services that substitutes the present one on care for the health of nation dating back to the 60s. The interpretation of this act is focused on the fourth part, chapter No. I of the same act regulating the rights and duties of patients and other persons. That is the matter of partial problems only, in which the public as the potential patients is interested. Regarding the subject of legislation and wide range of entities it would be very useful not only for the professional community, but also for the public to be aware of this regulation through this basic information in brief. The author has aimed in details at the new legal regulation of providing medical services on the basis of the patient\u00b4s consent. He has also focused on newly regulated problems of patient hospitalization and providing medical services without the patient\u00b4s consent and the use of restrictive means.
