PhDr. Miroslav Mare\u0161, Ph.D., Bc. Adam Vesel\u00fd, Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University, Brno<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This article analyses the phenomenon of so called &#8222;sharia-polizei&#8220;, which appeared in the Federal Republic of Germany in 2014 (mainly in the town Wuppertal). It is described in the context of the previous development of Salafism in the region. The authors deal with this phenomenon within the conceptual framework of Islamist vigilantism, Salafist propaganda and the reaction of the German governmental institutions.
