Grey Wolves – a Potential Security Threat to Europe

There are a number of incidents such as attacks on Turkish dissidents, foreign journalists, Armenians and Kurds, opposition to democratic principles, violent and non-violent protest actions, intolerance, racism, and anti-Semitism, which are the responsibility of the Grey Wolves organization whose radical ideology represents a disruptive entity in European society. The aim of the study has provided a comprehensive overview of the Grey Wolves, its ideological and historical development and its amorphous structure with a focus on activities of the Grey Wolves in selected European countries. Besides other things, this study has identified that the Grey Wolves indeed can represent the real threat to the security of Europe and also be a significant entity in the creation of a parallel society, especially in Germany, where the study also looked into the question of the attractiveness of Grey Wolves within the Turkish diaspora.
