International Comparison of Crime State and Trends Development

The basic moment of effectivity of international crime statistics comparison is the validity of statistic data with respect to their comparability. Not only methodology of crime statistical data processing but also used concepts labeling individual crime phenomena, ways of data collecting, continuity of data in time, effective criminal law… etc., that all influences information concerning present world criminality. At present the international informtion exchange concerning crime appears necessary and attempts to harmonize crime statistics in the framework of EU are taking place.
